About Arlington Group Events LLC

Arlington Group coordinated a number of premier events in Northern Nevada. Arlington Group, founded in 1991, has its roots in the Carson City Mainstreet program. Arlington Group started with the coordination of events such as Handshake Day, Mainstreet Chili Cook-Off, and the Downtown Tree Lighting.

Since that time and until the passing of our beloved Fred, Arlington Group had assisted at the Reno Grand Prix and International Chili Society Cook-off in Reno and coordinated events such as Virginia City International Camel Races, Wild West Tour, Ghost Walk, Salsa Y Salsas Festival, Silver Dollar Car Classic, Dayton Valley Days, and many others.

About Us

The principals of the Arlington Group are Fred and Maxine Nietz. Both are graduates of the Carson City Chamber's Leadership Program.

ABOUT FRED:
Fred is from Butte, Montana and has lived in the west for most of his life. He has a background in graphics, photography, and show business. Fred has worked for KQED (the PBS affiliate in San Francisco), FM Productions, Bill Graham Productions, and StageCraft.
ABOUT MAXINE:
Maxine is from the Big Apple and has a degree in Civil Engineering. She has worked for both NASA and AT&T, as well as the New York City Police Department. Maxine is the computer guru of the firm.
