Winter Wine & All That Jazz... January 23, 2010

Winter Wine & All That Jazz is the premier fundraising Gala for Carson Advocates for Cancer Care.

CACC celebrates a fifteen years of this great evening. Dance, wine tasting, and hors d'oeuvres will be featured. The Winter Wine Gala is held in the elegant ballroom at the Carson Nugget Casino in Carson City, Nevada.

Wineries and vineyards from across the west will pour a rainbow of flavors - reds, whites, ports, desert wines, sparkling wines, and blushes. And some new favorites will be there too.... Dance music provided by Russ Lindquist and the Sierra Swing Band. Ticket prices - $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Call (775) 883-7477 for info on where to obtain tickets.

Contact Mary at 883-7477 or carsonadvocates@att.net for more details.

The design above is the 2010 program cover.

In 2008, Maxine & Fred said "Where were you? You missed a great evening! Mark you calendar for January 23, 2010 so you don't miss it AGAIN!"

CACC History

Carson Advocates for Cancer Care was founded in 1992 as Carson Advocates for Cancer Victims.  Since that time, this 501c3 non-profit voluntary organization has been dedicated to fulfilling its mission, which is to give assistance and care for local cancer patients in northern Nevada through providing financial assistance for prescription medicines, medical treatments, and related services.  This assistance is made possible primarily through grant funding, currently provided by the Task Force for the Fund for a Healthy Nevada, which is derived from a share of the revenue the state receives from the “Master Tobacco Settlement Agreement.” That funding has dried up! So now, to meet the needs of a growing cancer population in Northern Nevada, the agency must rely increasingly on the generosity of concerned citizens and charitable foundations to provide additional funds for disbursement in behalf of cancer patients and to finance the cost of a grant search in the private sector.

Mission Statement
The Mission of Carson Advocates for Cancer Care is: to serve the cancer patients of Northern Nevada by providing financial assistance helping to defray the costs of prescriptions, treatment and related care.
